The Wilton Public Library maintains a selection of various "In Library Use Only" reference materials to help further your research of local history or family genealogy.
Wilton Advocate News on Microfilm + more
The library keeps the Advocate News on microfilm from 1867 thru 1979, except for the years 1870-1873 that were lost due to fire.
The library also keeps the Durant News from 1962 - 1968 on microfilm.
The Muscatine County Census dated 1856, 1885, and 1900 is also kept on microfilm at the library.

The library maintains a collection of the Wilton/Durant Advocate newspapers dating back to 1994 to present, that you are free to peruse while inside the library.
- The Adovcate News has physical copies of the newspaper dating back to the 1950s.

The library maintains a collection of Wilton High School yearbooks dating back to 1912.
